Cookie Policy

The gist
- 1.We use cookies as little as possible — just what's needed for login.
- 2.fibidy_auth (7 days) for Buyers/Sellers. fibidy_admin (8 hours) for admins.
- 3.All cookies are HttpOnly and Secure — not accessible from JavaScript.
- 4.No tracking cookies. No Google Analytics, FB Pixel, or ad networks.
- 5.Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page for security.
What cookies are.
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your device when you visit a website.
Fibidy uses cookies minimally — only for essential purposes so the Platform can function securely.
We do not use advertising cookies, do not use third-party cookies, and do not participate in any tracking networks.
Cookies we use.
fibidy_auth — Session cookie for Buyer and Seller authentication. Set at login, valid for 7 days, and cleared at logout. Attributes: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=None.
fibidy_admin — Session cookie for Fibidy internal admin authentication. Set at admin login, valid for 8 hours. Attributes: HttpOnly, Secure (in production), SameSite=Lax. This cookie is not set for regular Users.
Both cookies use the HttpOnly flag, meaning they cannot be accessed by JavaScript in the browser — a security measure to prevent session theft via XSS attacks.
Cookies we do NOT use.
Google Analytics — we do not use it.
Facebook Pixel — we do not use it.
Advertising cookies from any ad network — we do not use them.
Cross-site tracking cookies for User profiling — we do not use them.
The Vercel Analytics we use for aggregate statistics does not use cookies and does not identify individuals.
Third-party cookies from Stripe.
When a Buyer proceeds to checkout, the Stripe Checkout page may set its own cookies for security and fraud prevention.
These Stripe cookies are controlled entirely by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's cookie policy. Fibidy does not control or have access to those cookies.

Managing cookies.
Because the cookies we use are essential to Platform function (authentication), disabling them will prevent you from logging in and using the service.
Most browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can delete cookies, block cookies from specific sites, or configure your browser to notify you before a cookie is set.

Changes to the Cookie Policy.
Fibidy may update this Cookie Policy if there are changes to the cookies used.
If we add a new material cookie (for example if an analytics tool using cookies is added in the future), notice will be given via email at least 7 days before the effective date.
